HORTILUX e-Start Metal Halide is designed for use on electronic/digital ballasts. The starting and operating characteristics of electronic/digital ballasts are different than traditional magnetic core & coil ballasts. These differences allow us to optimize lamp performance over life to improve results in your indoor garden.

Studies have shown the most productive method for indoor growing is by starting plants with Metal Halide and then switching to High Pressure Sodium grow lights. HORTILUX e-Start is a cost effective line of lamps designed to provide the spectral energy required for vegetative growth. The HORTILUX e-Start out performs most grow lamps because of high initial light intensity and consistent output of the exclusive EYE HORTILUX spectrum, making it a great choice for any indoor garden.

• M400/HOR/BT37/HTL/ES operates in a horizontal ±15° burning position

WARNING

This lamp can cause serious skin burn and eye inflammation from short-wave ultraviolet radiation if outer envelope of the lamp is broken or punctured. Do not use where people will remain for more than a few minutes unless adequate shielding or other safety precautions are used. Lamps that will automatically extinguish when the outer envelope is broken or punctured are commercially available.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:

• Turn power off before inspection, installation or removal.
• Protect lamp from direct contact with liquids to avoid breakage from thermal shock.

RISK OF FIRE:

• Keep combustible materials away from lamp during operation. UNEXPECTED LAMP RUPTURE MAY CAUSE INJURY, FIRE, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE
• Do not exceed rated ballast voltage.
• Do not use lamp if outer glass is scratched or broken.
